What is Frostiness? How does it Enlighten and Guide His Majesty? Who may follow the Path to True Frostiness?
This web page has been provided by Imperial Decree so that all of His Majesty's Subjects may share in his Wisdom
Note: This is not a complete Guide to Frostiness. New sayings will be added as and when His Majesty's schedule permits |
1) Always be at one with your Frostiness |
2) Frostiness has been, is, and always will be |
3) True Frostiness lies within, not without |
4) The Emperor summoned three wise men to the Palace. "In my hands I hold the key to the Gate of Tranquility, beyond which lies the Garden of Contemplation, within which is the Shrine of Being. To whom should I hand the key?" The First Wise man said "Give me the Key, for I am Frosty". The Emperor banished him from the Palace. The Second Wise man said "Give me the Key, for I hope to achieve Frostiness. The Emperor expressed his disappointment. The Third Wise man said "Will I ever be Frosty?" The Emperor expressed his delight, and made the Wise Man the Guardian of the Gate of Tranquility. |
5) The Emperor's brother said "he who strives to achieve Frostiness can never be Frosty" |
6) The Emperor shook his head sadly when he read of past persecutions of the poor, the different and the weak. "Frostiness knows no barriers of race, sex, or background" proclaimed the Emperor "Only the Unfrosty would claim otherwise". "But", asked the Minister, "can everyone be equally Frosty?". "No", replied His Majesty, "but everyone has the equal potential for Frostiness". |
7) The Emperor said, "In his dealings with the world, the Frosty person has neither enmities nor affections; but wherever he sees Frostiness, he ranges himself beside it". |
8) When the Wise Man was ill, the Emperor came to see.him. The Wise Man said "When a bird is about to die, its song touches the heart. When a man is about to die, his words are of note. There are three things that the Frosty person, in following the path of Frostiness, places above the rest: from every attitude that he employs, he must remove all traces of arrogance; every look in his face must betoken good faith; from every word he must remove all traces of impropriety". |
9) The Emperor said "Do not be too ready to speak of Frostiness, lest the doing of it should prove to be beyond your powers". |
10) Was it not true, thought the Emperor's brother, that it was possible to be a good person, and yet not attain Frostiness, but there was yet to be a Frosty person who was not also good. |
11) The Emperor said "Do I regard myself as a possessor of wisdom? Alas, no. But if even a simple peasant comes in all sincerity and asks me a question, I am ready to fully discuss the matter to the very end. |
12) The path to true frostiness is not a perilous path, but neither does it lead down an easy road that the lazy and weak may follow without attaining knowledge. |
